Prysis named to Ohio’s Young Ag Professionals state committee

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Eric and Shelly Prysi of New Philadelphia have been named new members of Ohio Farm Bureau’s Young Agricultural Professionals’ state committee.

As committee members serving a two-year term, they will help develop and conduct activities that provide opportunities for young professionals to become involved in Ohio Farm Bureau programs.

The Prysis are Tuscarawas County Farm Bureau members where they are both involved in local activities, and Eric serves on the board of trustees. They also have participated in local and statewide Young Ag Professionals activities. They operate a 100-acre hay farm. Eric works full time for the Tuscarawas County Road and Bridge Department. Shelly works full time at Park Village Health Care Center as an occupational therapy assistant and serves as the Vacation Bible School director at Roxford United Methodist Church where both lead the youth group.

Others named to the state committee include Greg and Theresa Corcoran of Chillicothe, Doug Toops of South Vienna and Jennifer Wilson of Jenera.

Ohio Farm Bureau’s Young Agricultural Professionals program is open to individuals and couples between the ages of 18-35 who are interested in improving the business of agriculture, learning new ideas and developing leadership skills. To get involved contact Melinda Witten at [email protected]
