Burkett continues as Ohio Farm Bureau first vice president

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) — Frank Burkett III of Massillon has been re-elected first vice president of the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) as well as District 9 trustee. He holds the second highest elected office in Ohio’s largest and most inclusive farm organization.

Burkett was elected during the 97th annual meeting of the Ohio Farm Bureau held Dec. 2-4 in Columbus.

Previously he served as Ohio Farm Bureau’s treasurer and originally joined OFBF’s board in 2007. As first vice president, he will help guide Farm Bureau’s efforts to fulfill its mission of building a partnership between farmers and consumers.

As District 9 trustee, Burkett represents members from Columbiana, Mahoning, Portage and Stark counties.

Burkett is a long-time member of the Stark County Farm Bureau where he was a board trustee, policy development chairman and farm tour chairman. He is a past board member for Ohio Dairy Producers Association and is a member of Rivertree Christian Church. He has a bachelor’s degree in agriculture from Ohio State University with a major in agricultural systems management and a minor in agricultural economics.

Burkett, in partnership with three uncles, co-owns and manages Clardale Farms, Inc., a dairy and crop farm.
