Myers elected to Ohio Farm Bureau board

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) — Bill Myers of Oregon was elected District 2 trustee for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF). He will represent the interests of Farm Bureau members from Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky and Wood counties.

Myers is an 18-year member of the Lucas County Farm Bureau and has served as president, annual meeting delegate and public policy chairman. He also was on Ohio Farm Bureau’s membership model task force in 2014 and participated in AgriPOWER Class I.

Myers and his wife, Saletta, have two children. He farms with his brother, Bob, and his son and daughter. The farm produces corn, soybeans, wheat and hay.

He is vice president of the Lake Erie Waterkeeper Association and a member of CedarCreek Church in Perrysburg. He is a 1979 graduate of Clay High School in Oregon.

His election took place during the 97th annual meeting of Ohio Farm Bureau held Dec. 2-4 in Columbus. During the meeting, Farm Bureau delegates established policy on a variety of agricultural, environmental, economic and social issues.Ohio Farm Bureau’s mission is to forge a partnership between farmers and consumers.
