Prettyman re-elected to Ohio Farm Bureau board

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) — Cy Prettyman of New Bloomington has been re-elected to the board of trustees for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF). As a state trustee, he will represent the members of District 7, which includes Crawford, Marion, Morrow and Richland counties. Elected during OFBF’s 97th annual meeting, he will help govern Ohio’s largest and most inclusive farm organization.

Prettyman farms with his family, raising corn, soybeans and cattle for freezer beef. He also is a sales specialist with Purina Animal Nutrition. An 18-year member of Marion County Farm Bureau, Prettyman has served as its president and has been active with local and state Pork Producers councils and Ohio Cattlemen’s Association.

He has a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Ohio State University. He and his wife, Julie, have a daughter and son. They attend Trinity Evangelical UMC in Upper Sandusky.

During OFBF’s Dec. 2-4 meeting in Columbus, delegates established policy on a variety of agricultural, environmental, economic and social issues. The organization’s mission is to forge a partnership between farmers and consumers.
