A wetlands feasibility study and equipment and support for water quality improvement techniques at Lake Choctaw are bringing together farmers as well as a suburban community.

Lake Erie Farm Forum II, Feb. 17

Come and learn from the experts on the front lines of the battle to help Lake Erie.

The Lake Erie Farm Forum II will be held Feb. 17 at 10 a.m. at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds.

The event will feature three speakers:

  • David Brandt, a farmer from Carroll who is an expert on cover crops.
  • Dr. Libby Dayton, a researcher at Ohio State University who is leading the edge-of-field studies to determine the best practices for farmers to use.
  • Larry Antosch of Ohio Farm Bureau who will guide farmers through the new laws and regulations that are in place (Senate Bill 1 and Senate Bill 150).
