2016 Clermont County Farm Bureau Scholarship Guidelines, Application

Clermont County Farm Bureau has funds to award up to three $1,000 scholarships.

Applicant must be a 2016 Clermont County, Ohio high school graduate who will be attending an institution of higher education and must major in an agricultural field. It is not necessary that the applicant have a farm background. As long as the parents/guardians of the student are members of the Clermont County Farm Bureau, the student is eligible.

Science and Chemistry or Vocational Agriculture education majors will also be considered. Preference will be given to agriculture, animal science, horticulture, science and chemistry majors, and education majors specializing in the above areas of study.

Evaluation of the applicants will be based on academic achievement, school/community activities and demonstration of leadership.

Applicant must send a copy of his/her high school transcript and two letters of recommendation from high school teachers and/or guidance counselor.

 

Applications must be received in the Farm Bureau office by 4 p.m., March 31, 2016.

 

Applicant must submit proof of full time enrollment (12 quarter-credit hours or semester equivalent credit hours) at an institution of higher learning with a grade point average a 2.5 or higher for the first quarter/semester and must provide proof of enrollment for second semester/quarter. Please submit these no later than March 15, 2017. Checks will be made payable to the institution.
