Area fertilizer application certification classes now offered

In 2016 Ohio State University Extension is offering many fertilizer application certification trainings across Ohio. Under Senate Bill 150, anyone who applies fertilizer on more than 50 acres must be certified by Sept. 30, 2017. To receive certification, fertilizer applicators need to attend a training course offered by Extension.

The following three-hour fertilizer certification trainings will take place in our area:

  • Thursday, Feb. 4 from 1:30 p.m.- 4:30 p.m. at Ole Zim’s Wagon Shed, Gibsonburg, OH. Contact Allen Gahler, [email protected].
  • Thursday, March 10 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Wood County Fairgrounds Jr. Fair Building. Contact Alan Sundermeier, [email protected].
  • Monday, March 28 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. at Ottawa County Fairgrounds. Contact Allen Gahler, [email protected].
  • Wednesday, March 30 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at EHOVE Career Center, Milan, OH. Contact Tim Malinich, [email protected].

Two-hour training for current pesticide applicators:
