Turn in your CAUV forms to county auditor by March 7

Tracts of land, 10 acres or larger, can qualify for CAUV if they are devoted exclusively to commercial agricultural use. Landowners must apply with the county auditor between the first Monday in January and the first Monday in March each year. The deadline for 2016 is Monday, March 7. There is a $25 fee for new applications and no charge for renewals. Typically, the application will ask for a description of the land and farming activities to help the auditor understand how the land qualifies for CAUV.

Ohio Farm Bureau’s work on making the CAUV values more accurate is supported by membership dollars. Join or renew today!
