Looking for a great gift for graduation or another special occasion? How about giving the gift of an Ohio Farm Bureau Young Active membership. This is a great way for young farmers and ag professionals to get involved with the advocacy efforts of the food and farm communities they are part of as well as to have access to professional development, networking and educational opportunities.
“I was looking for something to continue the leadership and professional development and networking opportunities that programs like 4-H and FFA provided when I was younger. Ohio Farm Bureau provides that through its Young Ag Professional program and many other opportunities, conferences and activities,” said Tim Terrill, Montgomery County farmer and Young Active Farm Bureau member.
Anyone 18 to 24-years-old who is directly impacted by the agricultural industry has the opportunity to be an Ohio Farm Bureau member with full voting rights and access to all member savings and services at a reduced annual membership rate of $25.
“The opportunities to be involved are endless. From participating in networking events, leadership opportunities, providing a voice when lobbying or staying up-to-date on current news through Farm Bureau publications, I’ve found value as a Young Active member through my involvement at the county, state and national levels of Farm Bureau,” said Kelly Fager of Fulton County.
