Warren County Farm Bureau announces scholarship winners

Paul Bensman– Fred Pursley $1000 Scholarship winner

Paul is the son of Tom and Christine Bensman of Waynesville. Paul will be attending Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute this fall to pursue a degree in beef/swine management. Paul has volunteered at the county Farm Bureau’s Farmer Share Breakfast and will be participating in the county’s Young Ag Professionals group. Paul has been a junior fair board member and has helped with 4-H program activities including the hog and steer show as well as livestock project interviews and several others. We congratulate Paul and wish him continued success with his education at Ohio State.

Chelsea Younkman – $1000 Warren County Farm Bureau Scholarship winner

Chelsea is the granddaughter of Bernie and Cindy Younkman. Chelsea is attending Cedarville University pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business management. Chelsea has been very active with Farm Bureau and 4-H. She attended the Ohio Leadership Conference for two years and has volunteered several years at the county fair and the Farmer’s Share Breakfast. Chelsea has also been very involved in the county’s Ag in the Classroom efforts. We appreciate Chelsea and her service to Farm Bureau. Congratulations and best wishes at Cedarville.

Dana Bullock-$1000 Warren County Farm Bureau Scholarship

Dana is the daughter of David and Jennifer Bullock of Lebanon. Dana attends Miami University where she is a marketing major. Dana has participated in many Farm Bureau events and has been a constant volunteer at the county’s Farmers Share Breakfast and at the county fair in the milk booth. Congratulations Dana and we wish you the best in your academic career.

Nina Roberts-$1000 Warren County Farm Bureau Scholarship

Nina is the daughter of Rhonda Roberts of Franklin. Nina is attending Wilmington College and is pursuing a degree in agriculture. Nina has also been an active volunteer with our Farmer’s Share Breakfast and the milk tent at the Warren County Fair.  Nina has participated in the Franklin Aggies 4-H Club and the Warren County Junior Fair Board and Ohio 4-H ambassadors.  Nina is currently the Wilmington College Student Ambassador. Best Wishes to Nina at Wilmington College.

John Kirby-$1000 Warren County Farm Bureau Scholarship

John is the son of Glen and Jen Kirby of Lebanon. John is attending Rose-Hulman Institute of technology in Terre Haute, Ind. pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. John has been involved with the Farmer’s Share Breakfast. John has been very active in 4-H. Congratulations John. We wish you the best in your college career.

Hannah Kirby-$500 Warren County Farm Bureau Scholarship

Hannah is the daughter of Glen and Jen Kirby of Lebanon. Hannah is attending Ohio State University pursuing a degree in agribusiness and applied economics with a minor in agriculture communications. Hannah has been very active in 4-H and her church. She is a member of Sigma Alpha Sorority and participates in Ag in the Classroom, promoting and educating inner city school children on the importance of agriculture in their communities. Congratulations Hannah.

 

Morgan Stegemiller-$500 Warren County Farm Bureau Scholarship

Morgan is the daughter of Heidi Stegemiller of Franklin. Morgan is attending the University of Findlay majoring in animal science. Morgan has helped with the Warren County Fair booth and has volunteered with the Farmers Share Breakfast. Morgan has been involved in 4-H since 2009 and works at Heatherbook Farm.  Congratulations and good luck to Morgan as she continues her college education.
