Jackson-Vinton Farm Bureau recently held its 8th annual Agriculture Experience Day Friday, May 13, at the OARDC Research Farm. Over 500 second graders came from Jackson and Vinton county schools to participate in a fun-filled day of agriculture education! The students had the opportunity to visit 18 different sessions, ranging from goat milk soap making to an assortment of animals, horses, bees and fish to name a few.
We would like to thank all of the participating presenters for donating their time and knowledge! We would also like to thank Jackson FFA, Oak Hill FFA, and the Jackson Basketball Ironladies for all of your hard work! We also would like to thank all of our sponsors. We could not have made this event happen without all of you. We also would like to congratulate Alexis Davis for winning the T-shirt Design Contest!
