Wood County Awards 2016 Scholarships

The board of trustees is pleased announce the winners of our annual Wood County Farm Bureau scholarships:

  • Lindsay George, daughter of Kenneth and Cynthia George is a recent graduate of Elmwood High School. She plans on attending Owens Community College in the fall with an area of study in the health field. After attending Owens for two years, it is her hope to continue her education at a four-year college and receive a degree in a health-related field.
  • Jack Hagemeyer, a graduate of Elmwood High School, is the son of John Hagemeyer. Jack plans on studying food, agricultural and environmental sciences at Ohio State in the fall with the goal of becoming an agricultural engineer.
  • Lauren Nissen is the daughter of Mark and Heather Nissen. A graduate of Rossford High School, Lauren plans on attending The University of Findlay to pursue degrees in animal science and environmental safety and occupational health.
  • Kalyn Swihart, daughter of Mark and Kris Swihart, just completed her freshman year at Ohio State. She is pursuing a degree in agricultural communications and public affairs.
