“I believe in the future of agriculture, with a faith born not of words but of deeds.”
That is the first line of the FFA Creed, written by E.M. Tiffany in 1930. Those words are what FFA members live by. Those words are very similar to the mission of Ohio Farm Bureau of ensuring that there is a future for agriculture.
In late September, several FFA chapters from around Ohio attended a legislative day at the Ohio Statehouse, learning about state government and the impact it has on them. Ohio Farm Bureau then hosted the Ohio FFA officer team in order to build a stronger relationship between the two associations.
This meeting allowed various OFBF staff members to engage in conversation with members of the FFA officers team, to share the organization structure and update them on the issues that Farm Bureau is currently addressing. By having meetings such as this, it is the hope that current members of FFA will see the importance of the work of Farm Bureau and will want to continue to build a future for agriculture by working with Farm Bureau.
