Fairfield County Fair Oct. 9-15, 2016

New to the Fair: the AGmazing Agri-Center

Many agricultural groups are getting together for a new and exciting opportunity for families at the Fairfield County Fair. The Ed Sands/Farm Bureau Building located on the north side of the track will be full of hands-on, fun learning experiences and demonstrations throughout the duration of the fair. Some of these will include:

A combine simulator
Augmented Reality Sandbox
Master Gardeners
Apple Tasting
Five FFA Chapter displays
Movie Theater with ‘Ag’ Movies
Corn Pit Sandbox
Farm Coloring Mural
Build an Apple Tree

Stop by anytime to get a picture of you and your family to take home with you. We will also be having a scavenger hunt where kids will be able to visit all the barns, find the trivia question, and turn it in for a great kid’s prize.

If you are a Farm Bureau member or would like to become one at the fair, make sure to stop by the Farm Bureau table and enter to win a prize worth up to $250.

If you are looking for a place to rest your feet, there will be a stage that will have cooking demonstrations, the commodity carnival, dogs at work, a CAUV taxes meeting, and ‘Meet a Farmer’.

Our ribbon cutting ceremony will be Sunday, Oct. 9 at 10 a.m. right after the 4-H Endowment Breakfast.

Other highlights include Smokey the Bear, who will be walking around from Thursday from 10 a.m. – noon and the Cattlemen’s Chili Cook-off with Beef at 1:30 p.m.
