Discounts are a Farm Bureau membership advantage

Wyandot County Farm Bureau member Nathan Frey is no stranger to using Ohio Farm Bureau discounts, so when he decided to purchase a new piece of equipment he knew how he could save a little money.

“I bought a new Case IH hay baler last fall,” he said. “It’s pretty much what I’ve always used and I saved $500.”

Currently, Ohio Farm Bureau members can receive a manufacturer’s incentive discount of $300 to $500 from Case IH depending on what is purchased. The discount is also stackable, meaning it can be used with other discounts, promotions, rebates or offers that may be provided by Case IH or a Case IH dealership.

Frey said he’d taken advantage of being a Farm Bureau member before, using his membership to buy new trucks in the past and paint from Sherwin-Williams.

“It’s always intriguing to buy with a discount,” he said. “It gives you a little bit more a positive feeling (about the purchase).”

He’s happy with his Case IH hay baler, saying the purchase he made in fall 2015 has worked out well for his family, which has arguably had a good year. His son, Ashton, had the grand champion barrow at this year’s Sale of Champions at the Ohio State Fair. Ohio Farm Bureau was a partner in the purchase of the animal, but being a Farm Bureau member was just an added bonus that day.

The discounts are something that he says makes his investment in Farm Bureau worth every penny.
