2017 agricultural scholarships available

Following is an ongoing list of agricultural scholarship opportunities from both ag commodity organizations and the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation.

Ohio students from rural, suburban and urban communities and pursuing degrees connected in some way to agriculture are invited to apply for a set of scholarships through programs supported by the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation. Applications were due Feb. 28, 2017. However the Kenny Walter Scholarship deadline has been extended to March 31, 2017.

Ohio Agricultural Council is once again offering up to six $1,500 scholarships to assist students pursuing undergraduate and graduate level agricultural-related studies. Applications were due Feb. 28, 2017.

Montgomery Soil and Water Conservation District is offering a $500 scholarship to a resident of Montgomery County. Apply by May 5, 2017.

The Ohio Soybean Council Foundation and Ohio Corn and Wheat scholarship programs are now closed. 

Many county Farm Bureaus also are offering scholarships. Please visit the county Farm Bureau pages for scholarship information. This list will be updated as county’s announce their plans.
