The Franklin County Farm Bureau will be awarding approximately $15,000 in scholarships for the 2017-2018 academic year. Individual awards will start at a minimum of $500. The amount will vary depending upon the committee’s approval. High school senior scholarship recipients will be recognized at award ceremonies at the recipients’ schools, and all award winners will be acknowledged at our Annual Meeting.
The Franklin County Farm Bureau will select recipients from the applications that meet the mandatory criteria. A scholarship selection committee, appointed by the Franklin County Farm Bureau board of trustees, will evaluate the scholarship applications and present their recommendations for the awards to the Board for approval. From the applications, the committee will evaluate each candidate’s academic performance, agricultural involvement and activities.
