Highland County Farm Bureau announces availability of scholarships

The Highland County Farm Bureau is prepared to provide at least one $1,000 scholarship and at least one $500 scholarship this year.  These scholarships are available to 2017 Highland County graduating seniors who will be entering a two or four year college or technical school and majoring in agriculture.  In addition, a $500 scholarship can also be awarded to a student currently enrolled in a two or four year college or technical school with a major in agriculture.

The applicant or his/her parents must be Highland County Farm Bureau members.   Applications are available in all five Highland County High School guidance offices and Agricultural Education departments.

The guidelines and application forms are available from all Highland County High School guidance counselors and Vo-Ag instructors.  They may also be requested from the Farm Bureau office by calling 937-378-2212.

Applications must be delivered to the Farm Bureau office  no later than March 30 or be postmarked by that date.  The office address is Highland County Farm Bureau, 325 West State Street, Box 288, Georgetown, Ohio 45121.  Office hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
