2017 Marion County Farmers Care Breakfast recap

Marion County Farm Bureau hosted 900 people for the Farmers Care Breakfast.

On the morning of March 18, at Tri-Rivers Career Center in Marion, approximately 900 people enjoyed a breakfast of pancakes, sausage, eggs, milk, orange juice and coffee for a cash donation or a nonperishable food item donation, which was distributed to a local food pantry.

The breakfast forges a partnership between farmers and consumers.

Farmers receive approximately 50 cents for the food items in the breakfast.

Participants were able to view several displays of local agriculture companies.

Nationwide presented two sessions on Land As Your Legacy, a farm succession planning program.

Thank you to all the volunteers and sponsors who worked hard to make this breakfast a great success.
