It’s Tuesday, which means I get to introduce another one of your board members! This week’s “Trustee Tuesday” is Kyle Culp!
Kyle Culp is an Indiana native who was born in Rensselaer, but grew up in Decatur. His family primarily showed sheep and hogs, and raised showpigs. He was highly active in both 4-H and FFA, serving on Indiana’s state 4-H junior leader council and as the Indiana FFA state president. During college, Kyle was a two-time All-American livestock judge at Connors State College (Oklahoma) and Texas A&M University, where his team was undefeated. He was the assistant livestock judging coach at Purdue University while pursuing his master’s degree and worked as Purdue’s Youth Livestock Specialist before joining the faculty at The Ohio State University as a lecturer and livestock judging coach. He coached five teams at Ohio State and completed his doctorate in 2015.
Currently, Kyle is the Lead Business Analyst for The Andersons Rail Group. He and his wife, Ashley Bushman Culp (Wood County native), live in a farmhouse outside Pemberville with their daughter, Adalida. They enjoy anything to do with livestock, including judging a few shows each year, and spending time together as a family. Kyle has been a Wood County Farm Bureau Board member since the fall of 2015 and is active in the Young Ag Professionals group.
Thank you Kyle, for all that you do for the Wood County Farm Bureau!
The guide includes a farm driver checklist, overview of state and federal regulations and exemptions, CDL qualifications and more.
