The purpose of the program is to provide financial relief for a current member in good standing in the event that livestock in transit are killed in a vehicular accident. This program is NOT insurance. Payments are based on a schedule not on the actual value of the livestock killed. Click here for a full description of the program information.
Livestock Transit Protection Report of Loss application needs to be completed and returned to the Northeast Counties Farm Bureau office, if a loss occurs.
The Livestock Transit Protection Member Benefit Committee and the Northeast Counties Farm Bureau retain the right to reject any application that is not complete, procedure is not followed, and/or more than two benefit payments were made in the membership year.
The decision of the Transit Member Benefit Committee is final.
