This week’s Trustee Tuesday is Sheldon Miller, who has been a trustee on the Ottawa County Farm Bureau board a number of years. In the past, he has attended Young Agricultural Professionals conferences held in Columbus; he has also taken part in Farm Bureau Days at The Imagination Station in Toledo. Sheldon enjoys attending Annual Meeting and the Farm Bureau sponsored day at the Ottawa County fairgrounds.
In 2006, Sheldon received his American FFA Degree. That year, he also began full- time employment at the Ottawa County Highway Department. While he remains thankful to have an “off the farm job,” his true passion lies on the farm. He enjoys conversations with his landowners and his other mentors. Sheldon also likes to help friends and neighbors whenever possible – much of his time is spent lending a helping hand, custom farming, or selling seed as a Seed Consultants Dealer.
Sheldon is a lifelong resident of Oak Harbor and resides with his wife, Samantha, and daughters, Corbin and Danica. His family is expecting the birth of a baby in November. During “down time,” Sheldon enjoys spending time with “his girls” – checking crops, eating supper at Canoe Club in Port Clinton, riding Go Karts, or simply “chilling” by the fire ring at home.
Thank you Sheldon for all that you do for the Ottawa County Farm Bureau!
