Below are the proposed policies for Local, State, and National Levels-
2017 Champaign County Farm Bureau Purposed Policies.
Local
– We support increasing the fuel and road taxes $.03 per gallon and applying road taxes to alternative fuels.
– We support the transparent state government checkbook program.
– Encourage members to make sure their property deeds are up to date and current.
State
– We support increasing the fuel and road taxes $.03 per gallon and applying road taxes to alternative fuels.
– We support the transparent state government checkbook program.
– We support the right away that surveyors have the ability to cross property lines during a survey in order to have accurate surveys with notice given to property owners.
National
– We support having a mandated treatment penalty imposed upon those persons with multiple incidents of drug overdoses.
– In the upcoming Farm Bill we support continuing of funding for conservation practices and free trade on agricultural commodities.
