Meet one of the 2017 Montgomery County Farm Bureau Scholarship winners
Erin is the daughter of Randy Tomlin, and they reside in Brookville, Ohio. She is a graduate of Brookville High School and is planning to pursue a degree in neuroscience at Wright State University and hopes to ultimately gain the achievement of a doctorate in neurological studies.
Erin’s involvement consists of the following activities: the Key Club, FFA, 4-H, Relay for Life, National Honor Society, Varsity Tennis, Link Crew, Modern Language Club, Art Club, and the Brookville Church of Brethren Youth. She has been honored with multiple awards for scholastic efforts and through FFA. Community wise, Erin has served as reporter and president of the Brookville FFA Chapter, the reporter, secretary, and vice president of her 4-H Club, was the secretary of the Key Club, volunteered for the Gospel Mission, was a St. Vincent volunteer, and even worked at the Brookville Church of Brethren.
Erin is also active in gaining work experience. She job shadowed at the Brookville Animal Hospital, was a library aide at the Brookville Branch of the Dayton Metro Library, was a child care worker at the Brookville Church of Brethren, is a pet sitter, and a baby sitter. On top of it all, Erin still manages to find time for caring and managing rabbits, sheep, and cattle.
