New dates OFBF has provided for the Well Water Testing Program.
Please take note of the following changes in dates:
Pre-Registration Date: Sept. 18-Oct. 16
Sample Kit Pick-up Date (week of): Nov. 13
Sample Kit Drop-Off Date: Nov. 27
If you haven’t registered, you are still invited to join the COUNTY WELL WATER TESTING PROGRAM.
What is this?
A component in the 2017 Ohio Farm Bureau Water Quality Action Plan is a county private well water testing program. Working with county Farm Bureaus and Heidelberg University National Center for Water Quality Research, a private well water testing program has been initiated. Resources are available to cover the cost of up to 25 samples per county Farm Bureau to be collected and sent to the laboratory for the standard nitrate/inorganic analysis. The cost for the analysis is $25 per sample . Additional samples and/or analyses will be the responsibility of the homeowner.
How do you participate?
ALL MEMBERS WISHING TO PARTICIPATE MUST PRE-REGISTER BETWEEN SEPT. 18 – OCT. 16 FOR THIS PROGRAM BY CONTACTING FARM BUREAU AT (937) 382-4407.
Water testing participants may pick up the kits Nov. 13 and drop them off Nov. 27. The pick up and drop off site is the county office, 1425 Rombach Ave. Wilmington, Ohio.
