2017 Scholarship Winners – Zane Kozarec

Meet one of the 2017 Montgomery County Farm Bureau Scholarship winners 

Zane is the son of  Todd and Lisa Kozarec, of Farmersville, Ohio. He attended Valley View High School and is attending Ohio State University to major in chemical engineering. Zane’s participation within his school and community has allowed him to discover his future aspirations.

Zane has been actively involved during his school years. He has been a member of the National Honor Society, the Valley View FFA Chapter (treasurer), Student Council (treasurer), the Montgomery County Junior Fairboard (president), the We-Like 4-H Club (secretary, vice-president & president), and he was a 4-H Camp Counselor.  In addition, Zane was a member of the Valley View football and basketball teams. He was on the Honor Roll all four years and was a member of Project Charlie. Zane also volunteers at St. Augustine Church and was a member of his high school youth group.

Additionally, Zane has been active on various farms to contribute to his work experience. He is also responsible for feeding and caring for his family’s show pigs. Zane’s experiences on the farm, at school, and in the community have led the way for a successful future.
