Saturday, Sept. 9, Marion County Farm Bureau held Ag Day in the Park at Marion Tallgrass Trails.
Farm Bureau board members and students from River Valley FFA chapter volunteered to run activities and the displays.
Activities included seed growth with water beads; petting zoo; making plastic with milk and vinegar; corn growth and development; pig barn display; My Plate jeopardy; GMO informational display; tractor simulator; Farm Bureau display; and a bee keeping display.
People from the local community learned about food and agriculture and enjoyed the park afterward.
