2017 Scholarship Winner – Alexis Steiner

Meet one of the 2017 Warren County Farm Bureau Scholarship winners

Alexis is the daughter of Gene and Kym Steiner, and resides in Lebanon, Ohio. Alexis is currently attending Murray State University where she is pursuing a degree in agriculture education to become an agriculture instructor and FFA adviser. Alexis’ future goals are being attained because of her diligence in her home, school, and community.

Alexis was active throughout school by playing varsity softball, being a 4-H counselor, by being an Ohio Buckeye Junior Hereford Association member, and by participating in 4-H West Turtle Creek Hustlers. She has shown cattle and hogs for the past 11 years. When not busy with her activities, Alexis focused on her studies, which led the way for her to make the Dean’s List at Murray State University. In addition, she was a 4-H Camp Counselor, the vice president and secretary of the Ohio Buckeye Junior Hereford Association, the president, vice president, and secretary of her 4-H club, and by being the Ohio Hereford Queen and Princess.

Alexis manages to find the time to work, in addition to all of her school and community involvement. She is a babysitter, has worked at WEB Extreme Entertainment, at O’Charley’s, at Warren County Agricultural Society, and for the Hutson School of Agriculture. Alexis is looking forward to the years to come as she supports agricultural organizations.

Congratulations, Alexis! We are proud to support your educational endeavors. We wish you the best in the future.
