Franklin County Farm Bureau offers scholarships

The Franklin County Farm Bureau will award up to $15,000 in scholarships for the 2018-2019 academic year. Individual awards will start at a minimum of $500. First year scholarship recipients will be recognized at award ceremonies at the recipients’ schools, and all recipients will be acknowledged at the county annual meeting.

Franklin County Farm Bureau will select recipients from the applications that meet the mandatory criteria, including Farm Bureau membership. A scholarship selection committee, appointed by the Franklin County Farm Bureau board of trustees, will evaluate the scholarship applications and present their recommendations for the awards to the board for approval. From the applications, the committee will evaluate each candidate’s academic performance, agricultural involvement and activities.

The complete scholarship application must be delivered, mailed, faxed or e-mailed no later than March 30, 2018 at 4 p.m.
