Logan County Farm Bureau is proud to be a part of a new and exciting event coming this spring! On April 7, 2018, the county will be collaborating with the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation on a Reverse Raffle to benefit our newly created Logan County Farm Bureau Impact Fund for Agriculture.

The Logan County Agriculture Impact Fund will establish a grant fund that can be used to improve the agricultural footprint for the youth in our county. With the establishment of this fund, grants will be available for projects related to agriculture in our community and the promotion of agriculture youth development.

The Logan County Agriculture Impact Fund Reverse Raffle will be held on April 7, 2018, at the Bellefontaine Regional Airport. This will be a ticketed event limited to 300 tickets. With a purchased ticket, the ticketholder and one guest will be able to take part in a meal and participate in a variety of other events and games occurring throughout the evening, as well as enjoy the entertainment of a live auction!

The evening will culminate with the drawing of the last raffle ticket for worth $5,000 for the winner. Additional drawings will award $2,000 for the runner-up, the second runner-up winning $1,000 and a final draw for a losing ticket winner of $500! In addition to the prize drawings, the evening will have other opportunities to support the project with a Live Auction, Lucky Bucket drawing, Punch Board, Insurance Board, 50/50 drawing,  and many more games.

To purchase a ticket, contact the Logan County Farm Bureau office at 877-775-7642 or purchase online.

We hope you join in supporting us for this great opportunity to make a great difference in many lives!

Labor has always been an issue, mainly because we are a seasonal operation. So that's a challenge finding somebody who only wants to work three months out of a year, sometimes up to six months.

I appreciate the benefit of having a strong voice in my corner. The extras that are included in membership are wonderful, but I'm a member because of the positive impact to my local and state agricultural communities.

Strong communities
I see the value and need to be engaged in the community I live in, to be a part of the decision-making process and to volunteer with organizations that help make our community better.

Leadership development
Farm Bureau involvement has taught me how to grow my professional and leadership experience outside of the workforce and how to do that in a community-centric way.

With not growing up on a farm, I’d say I was a late bloomer to agriculture. I feel so fortunate that I found the agriculture industry. There are so many opportunities for growth.

Growing our Generation
Knowing that horticulture is under the agriculture umbrella and having Farm Bureau supporting horticulture like it does the rest of ag is very important.

If it wasn't for Farm Bureau, I personally, along with many others, would not have had the opportunity to meet with our representatives face to face in Washington.

So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
