The Seneca County Farm Bureau Scholarship Committee would like to announce the 2018 Scholarship recipients!

Ian Pursell is the son of Andre and Jamie Pursell of Eden Township. Ian will be attending Kent State University majoring in nursing.

Gretta Kissell is the daughter of Eric and Lisa Kissell of Pleasant Township.  Gretta will be attending Columbia or Notre Dame majoring in chemistry and spanish.

Ian and Gretta will each receive a $500 scholarship from the Seneca County Farm Bureau. The Seneca County Farm Bureau awards scholarships each year for any Seneca County Farm Bureau member who is either planning to attend, or is attending a college, university or technical school, as a full-time status student. The amount is determined each year by the board of trustees and the applications are available in spring. A committee is selected to review the applicants and make a recommendation with final approval by the board. Scholarships are one of the many ways that your membership dollars are helping the community!

As a member of Farm Bureau, I am glad that this organization takes action when necessary to protect and advance agriculture.

If it wasn't for Farm Bureau, I personally, along with many others, would not have had the opportunity to meet with our representatives face to face in Washington, D.C.
