Join us for the inaugural Marion County Fair Feed Sack Decorating Contest!
Participants can pick up a plain feed sack Monday, July 2, of the fair and decorate it with their best representation of an agricultural-related theme.
Decorated feed sacks with the contestant’s name and age on the inside are due to Evers Arena on Friday at 2:30 p.m., for judging. Winners will be announced before Barn Yard Olympics at 4 p.m.
This contest has two divisions, team and individual. A team includes two or more people of any age group. Individuals are split into the following age categories; A=16 and up, B=13-15, C=10-12, D=8-9, and finally E=7 and under. Team winners will receive milkshake vouchers and the top individual within each age category will receive a cash prize. Participants may enter as both an individual and a team.
Start thinking of how you’re going to decorate your feed sack and we’ll see you at the fair! And don’t forget to join us at Barnyard Olympics on Friday, July 6, at 4 p.m. for some barnyard fun.
