Every Tuesday an Ohio Farm Bureau member takes over the Ohio Farm Bureau Instagram for the day to share a day in their life. Check in throughout the day or follow us on Instagram, @OhioFarmBureau, to meet new Ohio farmers and ag professionals every #TakeOverTuesday.

Greetings from southern Ohio! We are the Bolender Family from Brown County! We are raising grain, cattle, and our children on our family farm. My husband and I are co-operators and both generational farmers. I grew up on a grain farm and he was raised here – raising crops and milking Holstein cattle on the farm his grandpa and grandma started in 1960. In recent years, the dairy cattle were sold and the family now focuses on raising beef cattle. We run about 120 brood Angus cows and feed the calves to harvest. In 2016, we were part of a group that founded Buckeye Valley Beef Cooperative in order to direct market our beef to customers. We hope you enjoy a glimpse into what our days look like on the farm! One thing is certain, no two days are ever alike. . . .

If it wasn't for Farm Bureau, I personally, along with many others, would not have had the opportunity to meet with our representatives face to face in Washington, D.C.
