Meet the 2018 Frank B. Sollars Memorial Scholarship winner.

Abbygail Pitstick is the daughter of Neil and Betsy Pitstick of South Solon, Ohio. Abbygail is a 2018 graduate of Miami Trace High School, a member of the National Honor Society and a member of the Superintendent’s Advisory Council. She plans on pursuing a degree in agribusiness and livestock science.

While in high school Abbygail participated in FFA for four years and held the office of chapter reporter. She was also an abbygail-pitstickFFA Scholar Award and Leadership Award winner along with being a FFA Star Greenhand. She served as the Buckeye Junior Hereford Association President in 2017-2018 as well as being elected the 2017 Buckeye Hereford Queen and then the 2018 National Hereford Queen.

Abbygail owns and operates her own purebred Hereford operation and she helps her parents out on the family farm.

Among her community services, she has volunteered at the Rose Avenue Food Pantry, the Good Hope Lions Club Candy Store, the Hospital Gala and Operation Christmas Child.

Abbygail attributes her success to the many life lessons she has learned through her agricultural experience, specifically in growing her own Hereford operation. She said she is excited to continue being part of the industry in order to give back what has been given to her.

Congratulations Abbygail!  We are proud to support your educational endeavors.  We wish you the best in the future.

As a member of Farm Bureau, I am glad that this organization takes action when necessary to protect and advance agriculture.

If it wasn't for Farm Bureau, I personally, along with many others, would not have had the opportunity to meet with our representatives face to face in Washington, D.C.
