Clinton County Farm Bureau is proud to announce the 2018 Jamie Florea Memorial Scholarship recipient is Brady Bergefurd.
Brady Bergefurd is the son of Brad and Marcia Bergefurd of Wilmington, Ohio. A 2018 graduate of Wilmington High School, Brady plans to study agribusiness and applied economics at the Ohio State University.
Brady has been actively involved in the Wilmington FFA Chapter where he participated in chapter meetings, career development events, and participated in State and National FFA Conventions. He was a leader on the livestock judging team as well as the soil judging team.
Brady excels in his academics as he is a member of the National Honor Society and a member of the Phi Delta Sigma and was honored as being on of the top students of Wilmington High School. His involvement in school was not limited as he was also a student-athlete. He was a wrestler for all four years throughout high school, team captain and recently qualified for districts. He also played third base and pitcher on the JV baseball team.
Brady’s work isn’t finished at school; he also works on his family’s fruit and vegetable farm. When you can’t find Brady planting, cultivating, harvesting or marketing his family’s fruit and vegetables, you might find him operating an excavator for Hibb’s Excavating. Brady has been an active exhibitor in 4-H for 12 years where he showed poultry and swine.
All of these activities and accomplishments have taught Brady valuable lessons, helped him to become a better leader and have shown him the amounts of dedication one must have to succeed.
Congratulations Brady! We are proud to support your educational endeavors. We wish you the best in the future!
