Greene County Farm Bureau and Germain Ford are teaming up for a Drive for the Future event Aug. 26. This event is a fundraiser for the county Farm Bureau scholarship program. From 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., visit the Greene County Fairgrounds to take a test drive in a new Ford. For each test drive, Germain Ford will donate $20 to Greene County Farm Bureau to put toward the scholarship fund, up to $3000.
To add to the excitement, Farm Bureau is encouraging 4-H and FFA members to get involved by asking them to refer people to participate. The 4-H club and FFA chapter with the most referrals who test drive will get $250. The local 4-H clubs will also be having a car wash competition to see who can raise the most money for their club. The winning 4-H club will also receive a free pizza party for their efforts.
There will be great food and fun for everyone at this one-of-a-kind fundraising event.
