You are cordially invited to attend the 2018 Shelby County Farm Bureau Farm to Table Dinner with the Bensman Family Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018. This community meal will showcase all locally grown ingredients sourced from area farms and families in Shelby County and feature products from Crossway Farms specifically.
This year the dinner will be hosted by the Mike and Martha Bensman Family. The Bensman’s live at 9570 State Route 29 in Sidney. The Bensmans are grain farmers who are excited to share their agriculture story with you and your friends!
We are excited to announce that like last year, a portion of your ticket cost will be donated to a local community project. This year the county has chosen to support the purchase of grain rescue equipment to our local fire departments. This equipment is vital to success in accidents that happen with grain storage and equipment.
The evening will begin with appetizers at 4:30 p.m. with dinner following at 5:15 p.m. The meal will feature products sourced locally from county farms and producers.
Looking to join us? To reserve a seat call the county Farm Bureau office at 877-775-7642. Ticket prices are $25 for a Farm Bureau member and a $30 for Non-Farm Bureau members. Reserve soon; limited seating available.
Please join us to celebrate the bounty grown in Shelby County!
The guide includes a farm driver checklist, overview of state and federal regulations and exemptions, CDL qualifications and more.
