Meet 2018 Montgomery County Farm Bureau Scholarship Winner Jordan Johnson

Jordan Johnson is being awarded a $1,500 Scholarship from Montgomery  County Farm Bureau. She is the daughter of Beth Thomas and resides in Farmersville, OH. She recently graduated from Valley View High School and will be attending Sinclair Community College in the fall, hoping to eventually transfer to The Ohio State University to become a fishery biologist. Jordan’s persistent involvement in school, work, and community activities have paved the way for her future.

Jordan JohnsonJordan had three main focus areas in high school aside from academics: the Valley View FFA Chapter, her 4-H Club and the Montgomery County Junior Fair Board. Through FFA, Jordan served on the Valley View FFA officer team and was able to earn various awards and distinctions based on involvement, leadership skills and personal success. Jordan also served as a 4-H Camp counselor for younger kids, which focused on building the kids’ leadership and communication skills.

Additionally, Jordan is a Junior Fair Board member due to her commitment in 4-H by showing hogs. Because of Jordan’s participation in FFA and 4-H, she has found a passion for agriculture and hopes to stay involved in it for the rest of her life.

We are proud to announce Jordan Johnson as a 2018 scholarship winner. Congratulations, Jordan!

If it wasn't for Farm Bureau, I personally, along with many others, would not have had the opportunity to meet with our representatives face to face in Washington, D.C.
