The Putnam County Farm Bureau awarded two scholarships to students in Putnam County for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year. Here are the two recipients of the scholarship and a few of their accomplishments and future plans:
Paige is a 2017 graduate of Paulding High School. Her parents are Shane Fitzwater and Jessica Talbott. She is currently attending The University of Northwestern Ohio studying agricultural business management/agribusiness and is expected to graduate with an associate’s degree in agriculture business management in May of 2019. Paige has been a Dean’s List recipient at The University of Northwest Ohio for three quarters. Paige is also currently the intern for the Allen, Paulding, Putnam, and Allen Counties Farm Bureau office in Columbus Grove along with also working at Insource Technologies in Paulding, Ohio. Once Paige graduates she hopes to use her degree to work in the agronomy industry. Rachel is a 2018 graduate of Kalida High School and the daughter of Mark Kahle. She plans to attend either The Ohio State University ATI or The University of Northwestern Ohio to study agricultural business management/agribusiness. Rachel was very involved in the Kalida FFA chapter and served as secretary and also received her Greenhand and Chapter FFA Degree. Rachel works helping her dad on their family farm. Congratulations on your excellent high school career and good luck with your future at either The Ohio State University ATI or The University of Northwestern Ohio, Rachel!
