Meet 2018 Montgomery County Farm Bureau Scholarship Winner Emily Rizzo

Emily Rizzo of Miamisburg is receiving a Montgomery County Farm  Bureau Scholarship in order for her to continue pursuing her educational endeavors. Emily is the daughter of Nick Rizzo. She graduated from Spring Valley Academy in 2015 and is currently attending Sinclair Community College for veterinary technology and pre-veterinary medicine. She has already completed two years of the program at Andrews University. Emily hopes to eventually attend veterinary school and open her own practice.

Emily RizzoHer dedication to educate others about agriculture has enhanced her success. Throughout school, Emily was constantly involved with agriculture through her 4-H club. Her role in 4-H allowed her to discover a passion for animals, as well as an ability to lead and teach young children about agriculture. Although she is no longer in 4-H, Emily still makes an effort to help teach younger kids about how to properly show and care for an animal.

In addition to 4-H, Emily was involved with gymnastics, the Pre Vet Club at   Andrews University, and she served as senior class treasurer at Spring Valley Academy. Emily is a truly deserving recipient of this scholarship. Congratulations, Emily!

As a member of Farm Bureau, I am glad that this organization takes action when necessary to protect and advance agriculture.

If it wasn't for Farm Bureau, I personally, along with many others, would not have had the opportunity to meet with our representatives face to face in Washington, D.C.
