Meet New Montgomery County Farm Bureau Trustee Jenn Starcher

Jenn Starcher was recently elected to the board at the 2018 Annual Meeting. Jenn has been a member for the past two years, but decided to step up and join the board because agriculture is a prominent aspect of her life and she wanted to help out the county. Jenn enjoys meeting other members and learning about their farms, jobs and experiences because everyone has a different story to tell, but they all come together as one to support Farm Bureau. Jenn grew up on a small farm and grew a passion for agriculture. She has had various experiences within agriculture, such as caring for animals, teaching children about animals and the importance of farms, and by working as a formulation specialist for an animal nutrition company. Through this, she formulates diets for pigs, poultry, and dairy cattle. In her spare time, Jenn loves being outside, enjoying things like hiking, sports, and kayaking. She attended Amanda Clear Creek High School and graduated from the University of Findlay with a bachelor’s degree in animal science.

As a member of Farm Bureau, I am glad that this organization takes action when necessary to protect and advance agriculture.

Farm Bureau is an incredible organization that has given me countless professional development opportunities in addition to advocating for all sizes and types of farmers.

We go to a lot of Farm Bureau events, and there’s a lot of camaraderie built because you’re meeting with people who have similar interests and goals.

If it wasn't for Farm Bureau, I personally, along with many others, would not have had the opportunity to meet with our representatives face to face in Washington, D.C.
