Meet Preble County Farm Bureau Trustee Mike Derringer
Mike is the vice president of Preble County Farm Bureau. He is married to his wife of nine years, Alison. They have three beautiful daughters, Miranda, Audrey and Colleen. Mike is an agriculture education instructor and FFA adviser at Talawanda – Butler Tech. He is going into his 12th year of teaching. Mike has been a Farm Bureau member for as long as he can remember. This year is also his fourth year serving on the board. Mike loves being an advocate for agriculture and representing the community’s concerns. In addition, he likes being a part of the program development because it gives him the freedom to plan activities. Mike enjoys being a part of Farm Bureau because it’s another way in which he can get involved with agriculture education aside from his career as an agriculture teacher. Additionally, Mike is active at the West Elkton United Methodist Church, is a varsity football official, and he dedicates time to helping with the Butler County Fair.
