Fayette County Farm Bureau’s Farm to Fork dinner was one of the eight projects selected to receive a County Activities of Excellence award presented by the American Farm Bureau. Out of 100 applications, American Farm Bureau only picked 24 winners across the nation.
The awards celebrate volunteer-driven programming that is innovative and unique. Fayette County will be one of 11 Ohio counties participating in the Farm Bureau CAE Showcase at the 2019 American Farm Bureau Annual Convention and IDEAg Trade Show in New Orleans in January. At the convention, people from around the nation will be able to ask questions about the Farm to Fork dinner format including how Fayette County involves local chefs and ingredients in the signature Celebrity Chef contest. They will also get to share the exciting news that they raised $8,500 for the Rose Ave. Community through this great event.
