Meet Preble County Farm Bureau Trustee Paul Hays

Paul Hays has been surrounded by Farm Bureau his entire life. He was raised in a family that was active in the organization and in agriculture. Paul was involved in agriculturally related organizations as a kid, such as FFA and 4-H. He also attended college in Kentucky where he studied agriculture and natural resources. Paul says he decided to join Farm Bureau because he truly enjoys advocating for agriculture, especially at a state level. He has served a total of 10 years on the board. Paul finds it significant to represent our organization through our members because there’s strength in numbers. He enjoys several aspects of Farm Bureau. He likes the social aspect because he can learn more about other farmers and members of the community. He also likes the idea generation from members which potentially leads into policies that help the farming community. Additionally, Paul is a full-time farmer on his family farm. He farms corn and soybeans. Also, Paul is married to his wife, Beth, and they have three children. Paul is a great member because of his incessant dedication to agriculture.

As a member of Farm Bureau, I am glad that this organization takes action when necessary to protect and advance agriculture.

Farm Bureau is an incredible organization that has given me countless professional development opportunities in addition to advocating for all sizes and types of farmers.

Future employees, leaders
If it wasn't for Farm Bureau, I personally, along with many others, would not have had the opportunity to meet with our representatives face to face in Washington, D.C.
