Do you believe in supporting youth involved in agriculture? If so we hope you will support the Logan County Agriculture Impact Fund Reverse Raffle on April 13, 2019 at the Bellefontaine Municipal Airport.

With the purchase of the $100 ticket, you are entered to win a Grand Prize of $5,000! The runner-up ticket receives $2,000 and the third runner up wins $1,000. In addition, there will be a loser’s draw of $500, additional draws throughout the night and many other chances to win.

Logan County Farm Bureau’s goal for the event is to continue to fund our grant program that is used to improve the agricultural footprint for the youth in the county. In its first year, the grant fund awarded over $16,000 toward agriculture enrichment projects in Logan County. These projects will support a remodeled greenhouse project for the Benjamin Logan FFA program, in which the equipment will be updated and the chapter will be starting new programs for multiple age groups. Indian Lake FFA was the recipient of our second grant, which will allow the chapter to build a structure to house animal projects for chapter members and for the program to have classroom learning tools.

“We are excited to be able to see the project have an impact on the agriculture community in the county,” said Tucker Berg, Logan County Farm Bureau president. “With the establishment of this fund, we are giving the opportunity to grow and change the lives of those working to make agriculture a more vibrant industry.”

Please support our second year of the project with the purchase of a ticket! A ticket allows the purchaser and one guest to attend the evening’s celebrations. Doors will open at 5 p.m., dinner will begin at 6 p.m. and the prize drawings begin at 7:30 p.m. Over the course of the evening are other chances to win at the Insurance Board, Punch Board, 50/50 drawing, Lucky Bucket Prize Drawing, and a Live Auction which will commence with the auction of our 300th ticket.

Tickets are limited; only 300 are being offered. To purchase a ticket, see a Logan County Farm Bureau board member, call the county office at 877-775-7642 or purchase online.

We hope to see you on April 13!

Labor has always been an issue, mainly because we are a seasonal operation. So that's a challenge finding somebody who only wants to work three months out of a year, sometimes up to six months.

I appreciate the benefit of having a strong voice in my corner. The extras that are included in membership are wonderful, but I'm a member because of the positive impact to my local and state agricultural communities.

Leadership development
Farm Bureau involvement has taught me how to grow my professional and leadership experience outside of the workforce and how to do that in a community-centric way.

With not growing up on a farm, I’d say I was a late bloomer to agriculture. I feel so fortunate that I found the agriculture industry. There are so many opportunities for growth.

Growing our Generation
Knowing that horticulture is under the agriculture umbrella and having Farm Bureau supporting horticulture like it does the rest of ag is very important.

If it wasn't for Farm Bureau, I personally, along with many others, would not have had the opportunity to meet with our representatives face to face in Washington.

So many of the issues that OFBF and its members are advocating for are important to all Ohioans. I look at OFBF as an agricultural watchdog advocating for farmers and rural communities across Ohio.
