Hi Everyone! The families at Henricks & Krieger Dairy are excited to be this week’s #TakeOverTuesday! Located in Fulton County, Henricks & Krieger Dairy is a third generation, three-family partnership owned by Richard & Sue Henricks, Phillip & Tara Henricks, and Shawn & Kim Krieger. The family farm was founded 72 years ago by Clifford and Annabelle Henricks in rural Fayette, OH. The family cares for Holstein cows as well as raises corn, soybeans, alfalfa and wheat. On Saturday, June 15 the 2019 Fulton County Breakfast on the Farm event was held at our dairy farm in Fayette, OH. Visitors to our farm enjoyed a delicious breakfast of pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, yogurt and milk. Thanks to all of the volunteers who helped cook breakfast and serve thousands of guests throughout the morning. The goal of Breakfast on the Farm was to offer the opportunity for the public to experience how farmers care for their animals, how we produce wholesome and safe food and how we care for the land. The tour included opportunities to our family, meet other farmers and agriculture specialists. Other educational stations allowed families to learn about cow nutrition, milk quality & safety, and nutrient management. There were also children’s activities and the opportunity to interact with commodity groups.
