The Barnyard Olympics and the Feed Sack Decorating Contest will be back at the Marion County Fair!

The Feed Sack Decorating Contest judging will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, July 5, in Evers Arena. Winners will be announced at 4 p.m. that day. Participants are welcomed to pick up their feed sack to begin decorating any time during the week at the Junior Fair Board Office. There are team and individual divisions. Groups are two or more people in the same age category. Age groups are as follows: 7-year-olds and under, 8 to 9-year-olds, 10 to 12-year-olds, 13 to 15-year-olds, 16 to 18-year-olds, and 19-year-olds and older. There will be cash prizes for winners of each category.

The Barnyard Olympics will begin at 4 p.m., July 5, in Evers Arena. Sign-up begins at 3:15 p.m. Participants will be competing as teams of four. There are 7 age categories: 8-year-olds and under, 9 to 10-year-olds, 11 to 12-year-olds, 13 to 14-year-olds, 15 to 16-year-olds, 17 to 18-year-olds, and a parents and advisors category. All participants will receive a free milkshake voucher to the 4-H Milkshake Stand.
