Annually the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation recognizes a volunteer leader in each county for their service and dedication to the organization. County boards of trustees are asked to select a person that has given time and effort to the organization to further the mission of Farm Bureau, “Working together for Ohio farmers to advance agriculture and strengthen our communities.”
Noble County Farm Bureau has selected Chris Wells, Dexter City, who will be recognized as one of the 86 county volunteers at the Ohio Farm Bureau annual meeting held in Columbus, Dec. 4-5.
Wells serves on the Noble County Farm Bureau Board of Trustees and is the membership chairperson. He has lived in Noble County his entire life. He married his wife Tammy in 1977 and they were foster parents for seven years. They have been part-time farmers raising pigs and goats, along with a cow-calf operation. Chris serves as a minister and was involved in a clown ministry. A long-time Farm Bureau member, Wells has met many wonderful people, served as president, membership chairman, organized safety meetings, and is a 2019 OFBF Annual Meeting delegate.
