Annually the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation recognizes a volunteer leader in each county for his or her service and dedication to the organization. County boards of trustees are asked to select a person who has given time and effort to the organization to further the mission of Farm Bureau: “Working together for Ohio farmers to advance agriculture and strengthen our communities.”
Noble County Farm Bureau has selected Shawn Ray.
Ray joined Noble County Farm Bureau in the 1980s. He previously served as county president and as a board member for most of his years of involvement. He has a strong interest in public policy, co-chairing that committee. He served on the OFBF special committee looking at the OSU College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Science’s future and as a delegate to the state Farm Bureau annual meeting several times. He currently serves his church, county and state on many boards and committees.
“I have had the opportunity to participate in many organizations and leadership positions. There are two pieces to my psyche that I cannot separate from when being involved with all the others, the church and the Farm Bureau.”
