Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation Scholarships – Applications open January, 2023
Ohio students from rural, suburban and urban communities and pursuing degrees connected in some way to agriculture are invited to apply for a set of scholarships supported by the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation. Most county Farm Bureaus have their own scholarship programs.
Ohio Sheep Improvement Association Scholarships – Applications open March 15, 2022
The Ohio Sheep Improvement Association in coordination with the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation sponsors the Dr. Jack Judy Memorial Scholarship and the High Family Memorial Scholarship. The Ralph Grimshaw Memorial Scholarship is sponsored by the Ohio Sheep Improvement Association. The OSIA LEAD Council scholarships are sponsored by the OSIA LEAD Council.
American Jersey Cattle Association — Applications due July 1, 2022.
Eligible applicants are Junior or Lifetime members of AJCA with a minimum grade point average of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale).
Ohio Ag Council Scholarships – Applications due February 2023
Ohio Ag Council annually offers scholarships to assist students in pursuing a career in an agricultural-related field. Scholarships are available to high school seniors preparing to enter college or any undergraduate student currently enrolled in college. Applicants or their parent or legal guardian must be a resident of Ohio.
Growmark Foundation Ag Scholarships – Applications due April 2023
The GROWMARK Foundation is offering a $1,500 scholarship program for students in the United States and Ontario, Canada, pursuing two- or four-year degrees or trade school certification in an agriculture-related field.
USDA Scholarships and Internships — Application deadlines vary.
Ohio Wine Producers Association Scholarships — Applications due Sept. 15, 2022
Two annual, renewable scholarships of $500 will be awarded to select students in recognition of demonstrated interest, aptitude and creativity in advancing the interests of Ohio climate grape growing and wine making. The awards will be based on merit as well as need, and the recipient(s) will be recognized to the membership on the OWPA website and at the annual banquet in Columbus in February.
